Mill Description

The Franklin Particleboard Mill has a multi-opening press with platen size of 5’ x 16’ and an annual production capacity of 130 million square feet ¾ inch basis.  Three automated Schelling saws allow the mill to process upwards of 50% of its output into Cut-to-Size (CTS) product.

Franklin particleboard offers a pine formulation that provides a consistent, high quality surface and a tight core for excellent machinability.

  • Smooth face makes excellent substrate for thin paper laminates

  • Bright surface color matches well with light veneer stains and thin papers

  • Can be finished with paint, varnish, high and low pressure laminates, wood veneers, vinyls, thin overlays, and plastic films
