ATC™ Panels announced the availability of FSC-certified medium density fiberboard (MDF) out of its mill in Pembroke, Ontario. The Canadian ATC Panels facility is the only North American MDF mill certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
ECOLOGY MEETS ECONOMY IN NEW ECO-FRIENDLY EVR™ PANELS
ATC Panels introduces EVR™ Panels, a family of environmentally responsible wood products. Debuting in June, EVR Particleboard is the first available product in the EVR Panels family. Produced exclusively at the company’s Moncure, N.C., facility, EVR Particleboard is an Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) containing 100 percent recycled and recovered wood waste or fiber generated from wood residue, and complies with the European E-1 standard for low emissions.
CONSTRUCTION OF LARGEST, MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED LAMINATE FLOORING FACILITY IN NORTH AMERICA PROGRESSING
Drive down Route 322 in Clarion, Pa., and you will see a structure of steel columns, girders, girts and truss purlins that resemble the skeleton of a huge dinosaur. But this monster of a project is anything but prehistoric. In just a few months, Clarion Laminates LLC will become the largest and most technologically advanced laminate flooring manufacturing facility in North America. Moreover, it will be the largest construction project of its kind in Clarion County since the existing MDF/HDF plant was built in 1995-96.

ATC™ PANELS ADDING NEW LAMINATE FLOORING FACILITY TO CLARION, PA. PLANT
ATC Panels, in association with its joint venture partner Tarkett, Inc., recently began construction on a new $50 million, state-of-the-art laminate flooring facility located next to the existing HDF plant in Clarion, Pa. The 300,000-square-foot facility will feature two production lines with a capacity of 240 million square feet and is expected to be operational in August 2007.

PALLADIUM EQUITY PARTNERS ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT IN ATC PANELS
Palladium Equity Partners, LLC today announced that it has made a significant minority investment in Aconcagua Holdings, owner of ATC Panels, a fast-growing producer of particleboard, low density fiberboard, medium density fiberboard, high density fiberboard and thermally fused melamine panels. ATC Panels employs approximately 600 individuals throughout North America and is headquartered in Moncure, NC.
ATC™ PANELS TO BUILD NEW MDF LINE
ATC Panels has approved the investment in the construction of a new MDF line at its Moncure, N.C., facility. The new line is expected to be operational within the next 24 months and will have a capacity of 160,000 MCF (thousand converted feet).
ATC™ PANELS RECOGNIZED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES
Demonstrating its commitment to protect and preserve the environment, ATC Panels has been certified by the Composite Panel Association for voluntarily meeting the trade group’s new formaldehyde emissions standard at its facility in Moncure, N.C. The more stringent emissions requirement (0.20 ppm versus the previous 0.30 ppm), announced in July, is part of the CPA’s Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Certification Program.
