CONSTRUCTION OF LARGEST, MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED LAMINATE FLOORING FACILITY IN NORTH AMERICA PROGRESSING
Drive down Route 322 in Clarion, Pa., and you will see a structure of steel columns, girders, girts and truss purlins that resemble the skeleton of a huge dinosaur. But this monster of a project is anything but prehistoric. In just a few months, Clarion Laminates LLC will become the largest and most technologically advanced laminate flooring manufacturing facility in North America. Moreover, it will be the largest construction project of its kind in Clarion County since the existing MDF/HDF plant was built in 1995-96.

ATC™ PANELS ADDING NEW LAMINATE FLOORING FACILITY TO CLARION, PA. PLANT
ATC Panels, in association with its joint venture partner Tarkett, Inc., recently began construction on a new $50 million, state-of-the-art laminate flooring facility located next to the existing HDF plant in Clarion, Pa. The 300,000-square-foot facility will feature two production lines with a capacity of 240 million square feet and is expected to be operational in August 2007.

ATC™ PANELS RECOGNIZED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES
Demonstrating its commitment to protect and preserve the environment, ATC Panels has been certified by the Composite Panel Association for voluntarily meeting the trade group’s new formaldehyde emissions standard at its facility in Moncure, N.C. The more stringent emissions requirement (0.20 ppm versus the previous 0.30 ppm), announced in July, is part of the CPA’s Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Certification Program.
